  • We appreciate your participation in our Adopt-a-Programs and your commitment to the City of Greensboro! This form is to help us keep track of your scheduled cleanups so that we can provide you with the necessary materials. 

    For Adopt-a-Park, Street or Trail: Supplies can be picked up from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday at the Parks and Recreation Administration Building, located at 301 S. Greene St., Suite 300, Greensboro, NC 27401. If you are picking up safety vests or grabbers, we'll need at least 5 business days' notice and you will need to return them within a week of your cleanup event.

    For Adopt-a-Stream/Clean-a-Creek: Supplies can be picked up from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday at the Water Resources Department Building, located at 2602 S Elm-Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27406.

    Anyone who submits a form should be aware that in accordance with the North Carolina Public Records law, found in North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 132, their e-mail address is considered public record.

      Please provide 2 backup dates for your event, pending approval from City staff to confirm their availability. Staff will contact you to finalize the event date. Events will be promoted only if staff can attend at least the introduction.

      Volunteers must be 10 years old and up.

      Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.

    • Is this event for an Adopted Stream or One-Time Cleanup?*
    • *Adopt-a-Stream requires a minimum two-year commitment, involving two stream cleanups each year at the stream adopted by your group.

      *Clean-a-Creek is a one-time cleanup of a stream of your choosing.

    • When providing stream/creek cleanup location information, it is very important to be very specific and provide as many details as possible.

      Examples of location details

      • Street name: example, Horse Pen Creek Rd, near Quaker Run Rd.
      • Intersection: Intersection of Horse Pen Creek Rd and Battleground Rd
      • Corner: The corner of Horsepen Creek Rd and Drawbridge Pkwy
    • To verify the location(s) listed above, we are asking for a screenshot of each location.
